Title of Piece / Zooms |
Description |
| "Hit The Lights" |
I kind of named this one after an old Metallica song. Its pretty symmetrical. You can almost see the painting I painted over to make it. Acrylics on paper. |
"Dreamy Starscape"
a2 |
What's up with the pink background?? I must've been really bored when I painted this. Expensive-o watercolors I ganked from HS on the last day (I still have some too!) on paper. |
"Funky Forest"
a1, b1, b2, and b3 |
WHee! fanbrush mania! You can't tell from this scan (but you can from the zooms), but all the details in this are from a fanbrush. I went kah-ray-zee! Acrylics on paper. |
"Comets and Black Roses"
a2 |
One of my personal favourites. I'm very proud of this one. I really like the way the colors (especially on the "roses") turned out. Tempera on paper. |
| untitled |
This one is just about actual size. I don't know what I was thinking when I painted this and the next few, or even how I managed to get so many neat colors.. the tempera stuff I've done lately is really bright (see bottom of list). |
| untitled |
Ok, so I take that back.. maybe in the latest stuff I just haven't been mixing colors enough.. This is tempera (as if you couldn't have guessed) on paper. |
| untitled |
more tempera.. I guess I really like this medium :) |
"Order Amongst Chaos"
a1, a2, a3, a4, a5, and a6 |
tempera on paper. My art teacher thought that object in the middle was a cross. How silly. I'm not christian ^_^ This one's flaking quite badly in the middle sections (where I really layed on the paint..) |
| untitled |
tempera on paper, cut and weaved together. This is one of those weird things that happens when you see someone doing something (ie making a basket on tv) and you want to do it to, but don't know how. So I cut up 2 of my paintings and threaded them together. Experimentation, yippee! |
| "Whatever You Think Is There" |
This is one of those paintings that just has waaaay too much going on in it.. and no, I didn't intend for the red bit to look like a hand squeezing blood out of "something". This just kind of happened, ya know? Acrylics on paper |
| Tree "sketch" |
This is black & white because it was painted that way, it was supposed to be a sortof "warm-up" exercise. I'm one of those people though, when I start something that goes well, I have to finish it. So I did :) tempera on paper. |
Creature drawing
a1, a2, a3, a4, a5 |
OOoooOOOOOhh! This is one of the best drawings I have ever done. Really. If you were to see the actual thing, I think you'd be impressed. Black marker on paper |
| Blood drips |
Er, this one's kind of odd.. didn't quite turn out how I wanted it to. Acrylics on canvasboard. I may put up zoomed in sections of this later.. |
Alternate Universe
a1, a2,
a3, and a4 |
title suggested by j-man. Thanks J! This one's actually just a section of a larger painting; it won't all fit on my scanner. Tempera on paper (ahhhgain.. seems some of my best blorpy stuff is temp on paper..) I really like how I cut a2.. especially that yellow blorp in the middle, with the streak coming off it.. Oh yeah. "Blorp" is the sound I make (made?) when I was putting the yellow bits on this painting.. a3 kind of looks.. space-like, doesn't it? |
"The Big R"
a2, a3,
a4, and a5 |
This one wouldn't all fit on the scanner, all you can see here is the middle part. I was really just doodling with the paint, and when it was done, it kinda reminded me of 2 things, one being a large yellow and green R on a blue bg, the other being the character Rhinox from Beast Wars. The latter you really have to know the character's facial features to get. |

b6. |
Ok, this is another large painting that wouldn't all fit on the scanner. Sometimes when I start painting, different things start happening in different areas of the paper, and its alot easier to think of these different sections as separate paintings. So, even though it looks completely different, the "bX" zoomed bits are from the same page as the "aX" ones. |

This one actually *did* fit all the way on the scanner. Yellow and Blue.. hmm. (And a little bit of green too.) |
"The W Effect"
a2, a3, a4, and a5 |
I named this "The W Effect" because that is the most obvious object in it :) Just kinda sprung offa the top of my head. |
