cgi art! or go back

Title of Piece / filename Description
glass3.jpg Took one of the fire pieces and used a "glass" filter in Photoshop to make it into a globe.
swirls2.gif Similar to the above, but a more elliptical shape.
absglass1.jpg, absglass2.jpg 2 pieces of abstract glass... I think these turned out really cool.
mercury1.jpg, chromeplate1.jpg The first one, I made using the free-form pen to draw a shape, then used a plugin to make the chrome-y effect inside of it, then used another plugin to make the outer bevel and shading. The 2nd one, I used the same chrome effect on the main part, but then added a drop shadow.
vangogh.jpg, vghotwax.jpg, and vgdark.jpg I used a similar technique as in the fire pieces, except I used many more colors, and well, to me it came out looking kinda Van Gogh-ey, hence the title. The 2nd on is the result of applying a hotwax coating, and the 3rd is what happened when I used the solarize feature of PSP.
sphere1.jpg and globe1.jpg These 2 were made using a Photoshop plugin.
filter1.jpg, filter2.jpg, and feedback.jpg More photoshop plugins.. I have a feeling I'm going to be churning alot of stuff out of PS in the next little while..
fire.jpg, fire2.jpg, greenfire.jpg, and yellowfire.jpg <beavis>Fire.. hehehehe.. firefirefirefire!</beavis> Anyhow, yeah. Its not a photo-alteration either. I made these from scratch. And before you all start emailing me going "How in the blazes did you do that?!" let me tell you something. Experiment. Drag out those ol smudgey tools and experiment.
splat1.jpg Kind of along the same lines as the fire ones above, only with a white background and different colors within it.
abs1.jpg, abs2.jpg, abs3.jpg, abs4.jpg, abs5.jpg, abs6.jpg, abs7.jpg, abs7a.jpg, abs7b.jpg, and abs7c.jpg Whew! lots of these.. abstract things. I got an idea and just ran with it.
bird1.jpg This one's kind of crappy, but I was experimenting again..
glass2.jpg A dark silhouette behind some glass.. do you know what it is?
redsmudge.jpg and redsmudge2.jpg More smudged stuff.
stainedglass.gif I figured the one or 2 people who visit my pages every couple months would like to see something new, so I cranked this out of PSP. I think the name kind of describes it. Putting into .gif format pretty much perseved the colors/gradations.. but it did dither some. If you have PSP and want my .psp of it, email me.
weird1.gif This is an accident that happened while I was making the above, trying to recolor the borders inbetween the "glass" from bright yellow to silver. Again, title self-eplanatory.
clouds.jpg, cloudwords.jpg, and flower.jpg These I actually made with Photoshop a loooong time ago when I was using a trial version of it.. I still had to use PSP to save the pics :P
spikey.jpg, and spikey2.jpg I'm not sure if I made these with PSP or Photoshop.. they're pretty cool though :)
roseban.gif The "better" version of the roses banner that was on my main page.. Made with some PSP picture tubes (hehe.. bet you were wondering how I drew those roses before, eh?)
doodle.jpg This really isn't computer-generated, but it doesn't really fit in with the other page. Its a doodle (um, duh?) I made with my new gel pens. Go buy some, they are really cool.. only drawback, they smudge if you brush your fingers across them when they're still wet.
face.jpg, face_burn.jpg, face_hotwax.jpg, face_paint.jpg, and face_paint2.jpg More PSP-generated art. I finally learned how to use layers (somewhat).
hearingvoices.jpg, smudgeban.jpg, smudge.jpg, smudge2.jpg, smudge3.jpg, smudge6.jpg, swirl.jpg, swirl2.jpg, and swirl3.jpg "Hearing Voices" came from a song I was listening to while making that pic. The original is much darker, I decided to up the brightness before saving it to a .jpg. The others are basically different versions of the same pic, I made a bunch of splotchy colors and used the smudge tool to blend them all together.
lines.jpg With this one, I was attempting to make a pile of lines look like they were on top of one another. Then I added the blue-airbrushed bg with a layer.
twisted.jpg My first real experiment with layers. I think I worked on this one for hours, just changing and re-changing things..
window.jpg Layers again. I'm thinking about using this one as a backgound for a webring navagation image..
circle1.jpg, circle2.jpg, circle3.jpg, circle4.jpg, and circle5.jpg These I made while I was trying to follow a tutorial from http://twh.telefragged.com/, a really neat site to learn about stuff like layers and burn effects, etc. What I made here didn't quite turn out like the tutorial I was trying to follow, probably because I was using PSP instead of Photoshop.
snake1.jpg, snake2.jpg, snake3.jpg, snake4.jpg More weird stuff using layers and burn techniques.
thing1.jpg, thing2.jpg, thing3.jpg, thing4.jpg, thing5.jpg, thing6.jpg, I started out trying to make an eye, or something, and just got to playing around again... whee, this is fun! ;)
firerings.jpg,
"Plundarrian Eclipse" (title by j-man)
I finally got Photoshop and started playing around in it, using the Tutorial Warehouse website, and came up with this. Not too bad for a first try, eh?
swan1.jpg Just playing in Photoshop again, using filters and such. Maybe I should've titled this "Chrome Swan"?
newstar.jpg and newstar2.jpg A star is born! Or, how I see it anyway. Of course I didn't start out to make this pic, but it works. The 2nd one I'm not happy with (cause I was actually trying to remake the first one, only differently.
crmgrnthng.jpg and crmgrnthng2.jpg Chrome Green Thing. Need I say more?
glass1.jpg More use of layers and filters and smudgey stuff. I think its a little too bright, I should've used a black background instead of white, but I kind of wanted that "lit-up" feel of sun shining thru glass.
pebbles.jpg No, not the "Flintstones" character. I used the "difference" airbrush and some orange, yellow, and red colors.
burned1.jpg, burned2.jpg, and burned3.jpg Some kinda psychadelic-60's stuff going on in these 3. I was playing with the sfx tools again in Photoshop (or was it PSP? I forget..)
phsban1.jpg The firey banner that was on my main page for my birthday.
